Hello Early Stage Business Owners,
Starting a business is hard. There is a lot to organise and in the hustle it can be difficult to get all your ducks in order.
Here are the top 3 things you need to get your Technology for business sorted.
- Register your domain sorted (example.com.au)
This is one of the most important things you can do. Make sure you at least get the .com.au, and if you can, the .com as well. Keep your login for this with your tax records because if you lose it, it can be very expensive to recover. Register Yours Here
- Get your email sorted (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Do this way before you get web hosting or a website going. We strongly recommend you use Office 365 for Business for your email provider, although you will need a partner to help you set it up properly. See Business Email Here (its important you start on this platform to save yourself costly downtime and migration expenses down the track)
- Get your backups sorted (Ransomware is out there)
With the prevalence of ransomware and other types of threats, it’s important you make a regular backup of your files. This could be as simple as rotating your backups between two external hard drives, or a cloud based solution like Soonr. We recommend using the 3-2-1 rule of backup when planning your backup plans.
Follow these tips and you will save yourself a lot of headache down the track.
